Funded by EURAMET National Metrology Institutes and the European Commission, with the following objectives: 

- Development and validation of new techniques and instruments for long distance measurements in air beyond the state-of-the-art. Targeted accuracy : 10-7.

- Robust and traceable system for effective refractive index of air measurement outdoor over 1 km. 

- Interferometric and time of flight based systems for long range measurements outdoor and in workshop environment. 

- New systems for long baselines calibration.

Findings will be applicable to large scale production, traceable verification of global mapping systems or waste management, as indicated in the European Metrology Research Programme – Outline 2007.
